 FEB-003 Kit! - s/t CDEP
Kit! is a female fronted melodic punk band heavily influenced by Discount, but mixed with neo-wave dance parts. The record is mid-tempo and filled with hooks. For fans of Discount and No Idea Records. It's all too tempting to compare this female-fronted pop-punk band to Discount or Tilt, but that would be selling them short because they have a wonderful and unique sound. Taking pop convention and adding in a very subtle pinch of a dance influence, they also add technical bass lines, which aren't usually present in pop-punk...I rarely fall for a band in such a rapid hook, line and sinker fashion as I have for Kit! They're just so damn irresistible. - Punk Planet #63 (notable review) | $5.00 | $7.00 |
FEB-004 Asthma Atttaq / Dirty South Apocalypse
- split LP Asthma Atttaq are a two piece that mix the passion of mid 90's emo with an experimental edge and some interesting guitar work. If Hella was good, they would sound like this.- HEARTATTACK #45 Dirty South Apocalypse play dirty southern hardcore with an undercurrent of psychedelia. For fans of Damad, Das Kriminal, and Prank Records.200 on coke bottle green vinyl. | $8.00 | $16.00 |
 FEB-005 Asthma Atttaq -
"Breathe Heavy" CD Florida's Asthma Atttaq returns with a new genre bending full-length. Having drawn comparisons as varied from Jerome's Dream to Hella to Yes, Asthma Atttaq takes the listener through a winding corridor of punk, noise, free jazz, post-rock and melds them together flawlessly from song to song. It's once in a great while I will get a real gem like this album. Asthma Attaq are a spazz rock band who at times sounds like Lightning Bolt and at other times sounds like the Blood Brothers. Being able to fuse many genres is definitely one of this bands strong points and they do it quite well.- Impact Press #59 | $8.00

 FEB-007 Yossarian is Drowning - s/t 7"
Haliing from the UK,Yossarian is Drowning play emotional hardcore in the vein of Kaospilot, Portraits of Past and Hot Cross. Think screamy vocals and passionate music that alternates between agressive riffs and hypnotic melodies. 100 copies on black swirly vinyl. Yossarian is Drowning offer up four songs of hardcore heart. Their sound is a mix of mid ninties emo and modern day screamo. It comes together well with thoughtful breakdowns and interesting melodies. Attractive and Popular {Money Equals Magic} LP Attractive and Popular began as a 3-piece in Lafayette, LA. Eventually, the lineup was fleshed-out to include two more members and the band started touring the U.S. virtually non-stop. Their live shows are packed full of energy, ridiculous dance moves, popped-out veins, and far-flung sweat. Sporting their custom-tailored sleeveless uniforms complete with gold sparkling dollar signs, A$P make for quite an "eyegasm." Their sound has been compared to XBXRX, Numbers, Le Shok, and Anavan. People say that A$P is fun. Perhaps the funnest band of all time? You be the judge!

Bolz - Riemen minidisc From the Pony Hell website: Bolz'n from germany play some kind of technoisegrind/mathcore/idon'tlikethatgenrething... maybe all what can be said is, that all of them have an attraction and ambition to make the perfect noise... they toured w/ White Mice and played some memorable shows at the Wasted festivals. you won't belive this band is female fronted, but that's not the point .. the point is "no down-the-line" in the attitude of the bad, so for example: the band used for recording Riemen only equipment from the 60's - 70's - 80's, formerly tuned stuff from the former german democratic republic. After they finished recording, they splitted up. Only 20 CD-Rs got in traffic. So we're very happy, that the band said yes to give Riemen a little second chance on minidisc. the record comes in a black wooden case with the front logo and very hard to find transparent silkscreen on the back. each of the record is hand numbered. Limted to 25 pieces.> | $6.00 | $10.00 |

CLEANER / GANTZ - split CD (Japanese Version)
Cleaner is from Japan, forming a band with 1 vocal, 1 guitar, 1 drummer and 1 painter. Sounds are experimental and also formed tightly. sounds like ENVY, CONVERGE, HEADWAY, KULARA. Some of the members play in such bands as KILLIE and LHASA. Gantz is from France and has worked alot for the european scene by working their own label IMPURE MUZIK where the European version of this split CD is released by such label. Graf Orlock "Destination Time Tomorrow" CD
"Destination Time Tomorrow" is the second installment of Graf Orlock's time bending cinemagrind trifecta, based on an array of cloudily interconnected storylines. Containing all of the latent brutality and anger present in Graf Orlock's 2006 release, "Destination Time Yesterday," this 8 song CDEP kicks up the confrontation meter, registering near inflammatory in the realm of requisite nihilism and undeserved sarcasm. "Destination Time Tomorrow" is being released in support of a spring 2007 European tour and continues the so-called "racket" of intensity and life affirming violence synonymous with Graf Orlock. | $8.00 | $12.00 |

L'antietam - Arthur Carr CD Back and better than ever, L'Antietam brings us 7 new songs clocking in at about 25 minutes. The emotionally charged blend of hardcore, punk and mid 90's emo, which has won so many fans over already, is still present; yet these songs show a definite natural growth to their songwriting. Without sacrificing skill or its sense of triumph, there is a more raw, dark, epic feel to this material. By far their strongest work to date.

The Only Ghost in Town {The Summer Was Over Before it Began} cassette
Every release I do is an absolute labor of love but this release definitely holds a special place in my heart. The Only Ghost in Town is a solo project by my friend Dan who is better known for holding down the low end in the excellent New Jersey based indie rock band By Surprise. Dan and I started exchanging emails back and forth discussing our mutual interest various indie rock and indie pop bands as well the aesthetic of lo fi culture. After awhile he let me know about this little project he had been cooking up. Within the first 15 seconds of the song "Like Candy" I was absolutely hooked on every fuzzy guitar note and reverb soaked vocal melody. And with each subsequent song that he sent me it just got better and better. To the point where I told him I had to release the songs in some manner on Rok Lok. We discussed it and felt that the cassette format would be ideal for this music. Personally, it brings me back to my roots of getting interested in DIY music by consuming Shrimper Records tape releases. The Only Ghost in Town plays super infectious lo fi indie pop/shoegaze that is in the vein of bands like Further, The Summer Hits, Drop Nineteens, Veronica Lake and Jesus & Mary Chain. Short bursts of fuzzed out pop tunes that begs multiple replays. This pro duped tape is imprinted on white clam shells and packed in beautiful full color artwork. Limited to 100 pieces. - Rok Lok Records | $5.00 | $7.00 |
The Third Memory CD | $8.00 | $12.00 |

Thou/Leech {split} LP
"The NOLA sludge monsters THOU continue to crank out high quality releases spitting pure venom. Expect once more a heavy and brutal guitar assault from deep down below accompanied by a sick and frustrated vocalist, setting senseless destruction against everything into music. LEECH, play fast and raw, yet melancholic, despaired black metal in the vein of WEAKLING. Spreaging an atmosphere of hopelessness, haunted by self-hate and nihilism, this might be the perfect soundtrack for suicide." | $14.00 | $19.00 |
Thou/Salome {split} LP
“Another killer release from Vendetta, once again combining two ugly, brutal, slow and heavy bands, this time from the U.s.. Southerners THOU come with thick slugde-core that doesn't fear occasional hymnical moments and quiet interludes before falling again into an abyss of black, hateful slowliness. Virginia-based SALOME instead serve stripped-down stark sludge-doom and prove that it needs no more than drums, a guitar and a vitriol-filled voice to deliver nothing but pure hatred.” | $14.00 | $19.00 |
Thou/Haarp {Reincarnation Prayer} split 7" Man alive are these some burly jams, and the content of this is pretty much outlandish: classic apocalyptic woodcut imagery, a huge poster insert, a bigass booklet stapled to the interior of the jacket, and cool orangey red "fire" colored vinyl too, not to mention two of the hottest sludge bands going right now
| $6.00 | $10.00 |
Thou "Tyrant" LP
"In the spirit of full disclosure I should preface this by saying this is not normally the kind of music I listen to, but it would be if it was all this good. THOU make slow and sludgy doom metal. The songs are dark and heavy, but occasionally a crystalline guitar-lead breaks through to soar above the mix. The tempo picks up toward the end of the album and the listener is treated to some great riffage. Vocals are a bit black metallish without sounding too affected. Lyrics, which come printed in a beautifully illustrated booklet, deal with death, the evils of Christianity, and reclaiming the world from the dominion of wealth. Great music for a cold, rainy day. Packaged in a brown sleeve illustrated with Sixteenth Century woodblock prints. (Matt Indignant)" - Profane Existence #55
